Finding Your Way
Make sure they know their first day and arrival time.
Prepare any new-hire paperwork before they arrive.
Assign them a workstation.
Make sure a computer, supplies, and materials are delivered to the workstation beforehand.
Schedule a welcome lunch with the team. This is a great way to make your new hire feel welcome and provides an opportunity for them to get to know the team.
Plan for touch-bases and feedback throughout the coming weeks.
Identify and brief a peer to give the new hire a Home Office tour.
Identify and brief key team members and business partners for them to meet 1:1 and begin building their Walmart network.
Help them schedule the 1:1 meetings.
Who We Are
Meet with your new hire to discus any questions they have about the Walmart brand.
Our Strategy
Meet with your new hire to discuss how touring works and how to look for EDLP and EDLC in the stores.
Help them schedule a store visit.
Your Plan
Schedule time to collaborate with them to create their 30-60-90 day plan.
Explain the 30-60-90 day plan and show them some examples.
Help them write the outline plan including the required tasks in the Learner section.
Identify additional job-specific goals they should include and work together to develop the plan to accomplish these goals.
Discuss and schedule time to review the plan at 30, 60, and 90 days.
