Get Ready for Open Call 2025
Find out how & when to apply
You have a great product. All you’re waiting for is the chance to put it on Walmart and Sam’s Club shelves across the country. If that sounds like you, we have good news: the wait is nearly over.
Walmart’s Open Call 2025 is now open for applications. It’s a chance for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to get their products in front of an experienced panel of Walmart buyers. You don’t have to know the “right people” to get in—you just have to apply.
Excited? We are, too! Here’s what you need to know.

What is Walmart Open Call 2025?
As the world’s largest retailer, we’re always looking for innovative, affordable products that serve the needs of our customers. Open Call is one way we find them.
But Open Call is about much more than expanding our selection. We’re investing in shelf-ready products that are made, grown or assembled in the U.S—a $350 billion commitment projected to support over 750,000 American jobs.1
Every business we select to appear at Open Call in Bentonville, Arkansas will receive valuable insights from our experienced team, as well as a chance to join a community with your fellow entrepreneurs.
If our panel selects your product, your business could start reaching millions of customers and Sam’s Club members through our extensive distribution network of supercenters, clubs and our online marketplace. That kind of reach can change the trajectory of a small business—just ask Luke Schneider, a Walmart Business member who founded Fire Department Coffee in 2016.

What Open Call meant for Fire Department Coffee
As a firefighter, paramedic and veteran, Luke wanted to build a roastery that sold great coffee and used the profits to support sick and injured firefighters.
Firefighter Coffee was chosen for a “golden ticket” at Open Call 2023—a dream come true for Luke and his team. Then it was time to turn the dream of being featured on Walmart’s shelves into a reality. How would they go from a single 800-square-foot spot in a strip mall to producing enough stock for at least 2,000 Walmart supercenters?
They didn’t have to do it alone. Open Call introduced Firefighter Coffee to executives across Walmart, who helped them ramp up production and widen distribution to locations across the U.S.
“It really is evident that Walmart wants to see businesses succeed,” Luke said. “Not everybody gets a golden ticket, but they'll at least walk away with learnings or what they can do differently, or have learned something from that experience. And that in itself is an opportunity.”
