Rohit Kaila is the Vice President, leading US Tech & International eCommerce engineering at Walmart Labs India. Rohit is a seasoned IT professional with exposure to many different domains like eCommerce, big data & analytics platforms, online advertising with a primary focus on end-to-end product development. He plays a crucial role at Walmart Labs and handles multiple teams such as International Markets and technology that drives both eCommerce and Stores in the US.
Rohit has worked with Intuit and Yahoo! previously. At Intuit, he led the Intuit Data Engineering & Analytics group that was responsible for building big data platforms used by all the Intuit business units to store, process and analyze data. As the Senior Director for Product and Engineering at Yahoo!, he was responsible for managing display advertising products including Right Media display Exchange and core advertising prediction technology. Rohit comes from a telecom background where he focused on applied research at the prestigious Bell Labs and was a part of two startups.
His key strength lies in innovation with experience in research, advertising, big data, architecture, design and development of innovative products. He has held leadership positions across domains such as product strategy, engineering, organizational management, project management, and customer management.
Rohit holds an M.S. in Computer and Electronic Engineering from Rutgers University and is always on the lookout to spot and nurture the next big innovation.
