Raj leads the International Data Pillar in Bangalore that focuses on transforming Walmart’s International business leveraging Data Products.
Raj leads talented engineers and scientists in Bangalore, whose goal is to unlock value from data and drive business growth. This team focuses on building out data ecosystem for different international markets and business areas. The team works with large volumes of data, builds out data lake, hydrates the lake and develops ML/AI application on top of the lake. The team works across business domains like Store Operations, Merchanding, Global Sourcing, etc.
The team works with latest big data technologies, cloud, Machine Learning and AI to drive data adoption and value unlock.
Raj has more than 16 years of experience in Analytics and Data Science. He has worked with General Motors, Oracle, Target playing a key role in Research & Development, Product Development and Client Delivery. Prior to joining Walmart in 2019, Raj was working with Noodle.ai focusing on building the data science team, defining standard technology practices and developing data science products driven by AI/ML.
Raj holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering focusing on Rocket Component Design from University of Florida, Gainesville, USA. M.
