Akhil Vishwanatham is Senior Director Engineering at Walmart Labs, India. Akhil leads the Global Business Process business pillar in Bangalore that focuses on transforming the company with innovative technology and solutions.
Akhil leads talented technologists in Bangalore, whose goal is to deliver a simple and seamless experience for all Walmart associates. This team focuses on building new solutions in the areas of Finance, Spend Management, People and Real Estate. The team also delivers solutions space of Manufacturing and end to end Retail for the smaller Walmart business markets.
By adopting cutting edge technologies in the area of IoT, Blockchain, Machine Learning and AI the team aims to improve associate efficiency and reduce overall cost.
Akhil has more than 16 years of experience in the Enterprise solutions area and has worked with large global companies in the past. He also founded a startup that focused on providing ERP technology solutions for small and medium enterprises. He joined Walmart in 2013 and has set up and grown the Global business services practice in Bangalore.
Akhil holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
