Walmart has pledged to reach zero emissions across its global operations by 2040 without using any offsets. In continuation to what we've accomplished in the last decade and a half on the sustainability front, we are well on course to make our global supply chain process regenerative thus restoring our planet and minimizing the carbon footprint. Here's a link to know more about our goals and efforts made towards a sustainable future. Remember to participate in this cause and help us decarbonize, eliminate waste, and restore the environment. The Walmart Foundation has recently announced two new grants to support the farming communities in India through the NGOs Tanager and PRADAN. This pandemic has had a devastating impact on the livelihood of farmers. Through this grant, in a small yet committed way, we are providing them sustenance and also creating opportunities for production planning, modern cropping methods and stronger supply chain. Check out this video to know how, along with our grantees and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), we are making a lasting impact.
To further augment our efforts in providing a better experience for our associates, we are launching the Total Rewards Statement portal. It will provide a personalized and comprehensive view of total rewards - compensation, equity, health and wellness, retirement, recognition, learning and other monetary as well as non-monetary benefits. Watch out for an email with more information on it.
And on October 1, 2020 we plan to hold an IDC-wide townhall. I eagerly look forward to your participation at the event. With focus on how we are navigating the new ways of working, building virtual war rooms and preparing for a fabulous holiday season experience for our customers, I expect it to be quite an action packed event. We also have an exciting panel of global leaders participating at the event. See you there!
