Brent has been a network engineer for eight years with six of those having a focus on Operational Technology (OT) network security and design. In his professional journey, he has worked with manufacturers across Arkansas and beyond assessing, designing and securing networks for IACS (Industrial Automation Controls Systems) and SCADA (Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition). His expertise spans various industries including food and beverage, pulp and paper, energy and munitions manufacturing.
Brent's versatility has seen him work closely with both IT and OT personnel, often serving as a mediator between the two. His ability to balance the IT focus on protecting networks and company property with the OT emphasis on uninterrupted operations has expanded his role into IT/OT convergence. Brent also ventured into green technology networking. Leveraging his vast experience, he partnered with multinational corporations to create network architectures for solar and wind deployments while ensuring their security.
When he's not reshaping the network landscape, Brent enjoys home automation IoT projects. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters and working on car projects.
