Wayne is a life‐long technologist who is a product of the time‐tested American mentoring tradition. Wayne grew up during the inception of the home computer, was operating early systems when he was barely old enough to read and became a contributing member of the family technology business before he was old enough to drive. When Wayne was 15, he worked on his first professional Information Technology (IT) contract, and he has been working in the field since then. Wayne’s resume includes professional work across the IT landscape including systems repair, systems architecture, software development, networking, data recovery, component level hardware repair, hardware research and development (R&D), Information Security, Digital Forensics, and IT leadership.
Currently, Wayne is serving as the Senior Director responsible for technical operations at Walmart’s eDiscovery and Forensic Services Laboratory. In this role, he is responsible for technical strategy, architecture, engineering, and special forensic operations. Current lab cases include target technologies such as spinning hard‐disk drives, solid‐state drives, flash/eMMC/NAND memory devices, monolithic storage devices, JTAG and In‐System acquisition techniques, chip‐off forensics, bad actor hardware interrogation, and mobile devices, to name a few.
Wayne holds multiple certifications in the forensics discipline and has been asked to speak both internally and to a variety of external groups.
