Melissa Cronquist
Senior Manager in Information Security Decision Automation at Walmart
Bio

Melissa Cronquist’s Walmart journey began with a summer internship during college and upon completing her degree, she joined Walmart’s IT Rotational Program, starting in Field Support before transitioning to the Endpoint Team. After joining the Endpoint Team, Melissa began developing a program to identify computers missing from the antivirus repository. After a brief rotation with the Quality Assurance team, Melissa was invited back to the Endpoint team to complete her program, solidifying her membership on the team. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for cybersecurity, thanks to her exceptional mentors. Melissa recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary with Walmart.

Currently, Melissa is a Senior Manager in Information Security Decision Automation at Walmart. Melissa previously supported Walmart's Active Directory, where her passion for identity protection grew, leading her to speak at the Hybrid Identity Protection Conference. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Arkansas Tech University and has earned CISSP and GSEC certifications.

As a woman in a technical career, Melissa is proud to contribute to the increasing number of women in Infosec. She actively mentors junior female associates, encouraging more women to join the field. Outside of work, Melissa is a mother to two young boys, enjoying family time and outdoor activities such as hiking, park visits, kayaking, and skiing.
