Melissa Day has led consumer experience design for brands such as Nike, Microsoft, and Mercy Health Systems. She got her start in retail strategy and branding at Cincinnati and Portland, Oregon agencies before joining Luxottica to lead new prototypical experiences for brands like Target Optical and Sunglass Hut that look to expand the role and definition of “the store” across digital and physical. Expanding on this, Melissa joined Luxottica Eye Care to examine the patient perspective on experience, realizing that a better omni-journey across healthcare was needed.
Excited to take this challenge to a bigger scale, she joined Walmart Health & Wellness in Specialty Care, leading Doctor and Patient Experience in November of 2018. She has concentrated on the doctor value proposition for Walmart as well as ways to improve our quality patient experience in-store as well as in-office.
