Hagit K. is an experienced project manager who took a career break to care for a family member. She wanted to re-enter the workforce, but didn’t want to start over. When she heard about Walmart’s returnship program through Path Forward, she realized getting back into her career was possible.
“I viewed the opportunity provided by my Walmart returnship as a chance to prove that I could be a great product manager even after taking a career break as the industry shifted and changed. I approached the returnship as a 16-week interview. It was a chance to show what I could really do, as opposed to explaining theory in a single-day interview,” said Hagit.
Path Forward is a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower people to restart their careers after time spent focused on caregiving. They work with Walmart to create and run mid-career internships, also known as returnships, that give women and men a jump start back to a professional career.
