The Live Better U benefit is currently available for the following degree programs at select universities:
Associates can visit guildeducation.com/Walmart and use their Walmart log-in credentials to sign-up for Live Better U!
These degrees are primarily offered online. These schools do have physical campuses and offer options to participate in on-campus learning if it fits your needs.
You’re a perfect candidate for Live Better U! The universities and programs offered are designed to help you maximize credit transfer, and a coach is available to help you determine which transfer credits are eligible.
College credit is based off which Academies training the associate has completed. The amount of credit for Academy training may vary depending on your school. A Guild coach will help associates navigate their credit-for-training options.
Walmart associates can apply the college credit they earn through Academy training to a variety of degree options, extending beyond the $1/day programs within the Guild network.
Associates will need to upload book proof-of-purchase as well as the related course syllabi through the Guild Education portal and will receive reimbursement through Walmart payroll after processing. The reimbursement portal is open to start submitting for reimbursement; processing may take up to 30 days from the date of submission to receive reimbursement. Participating associates should budget accordingly.
Associates will receive book reimbursement for enrolled courses only. If an associate drops a course before the final add/drop date, the associate should return their textbooks for a refund or they will be responsible for 100% of the cost of the book(s).
No. Associates can submit multiple requests for books reimbursement throughout the year. Students should purchase books as required by their courses and submit for reimbursement when appropriate.
All associates must be in active status to apply for the program and re-enroll each semester. Any associate on LOA is considered inactive. Associate eligibility is reviewed each semester and while associates can take LOA at any point during the semester, they must return to work to be eligible to re-enroll in their next semester. If employment status changes prior to the university course drop date for 100% refund, it is the responsibility of the associate to drop all courses or assume the whole cost associated with their college education for that term.
Associates are only considered ineligible if they are on LOA or are terminated from the company once they are in the program. There will not be a notification if one of these instances occurs.
There are no work requirements after you finish your degree.
