Q:  When do these pay changes go into effect?

A:  All changes go into effect on Aug. 3.

 

Q:  Why are we making these changes?

A: Our members expect something special when they shop our clubs. They want quality merchandise, a frictionless experience and their questions answered quickly by knowledgeable associates. To make sure we are giving our members what they deserve, we are investing in our associates with more pay, consistent schedules, interactive training and better tools.

Today, we’re changing the job titles of some key roles to be more clear on the responsibilities of these associates. And, we’re taking our associate investments one step further and increasing the pay of some critical hourly roles.

 

Q:  Are there more pay changes coming?

A:  We will continue to look at ways to further invest in our associates.

 

Q:  When will these changes show up in Workday?

A:  Monday, Aug. 12

 

Q:  When do these title changes go into effect?

A:  These title changes go into effect on Aug. 3.

 

Q:  I’m in a role that didn’t get an increase.  Does this mean the company doesn’t think my job is important?

A:  We value everyone at Sam’s Club and are looking at various ways to invest in our associates. So far this year, we’ve introduced new fresh training, pay increases for our Team Leads, and gave all associates a Plus Membership, to name a few. We will continue to look for additional ways to invest in our associates.

 

Q:  What do these pay increases we’re announcing today mean for associates who are secondary job coded into these roles?

A:   These pay increases only impact associates who are in these select roles as their primary job code.

 

Q:  Do these pay changes affect Puerto Rico?

A:  No, they do not.
