The change to four work groups and block schedules will require associates to think differently about their role at Sam’s Club. Here are other things we’re doing to support this change and help associates work in a different way:
We’re realigning associate roles and streamlining job codes in select work groups. We're also moving overnight associates to days, and they will be included in one of the four work groups. Provided in this toolkit is an organizational chart and job code transition charts to show the new in-club structure.
We’ll continue to skills train our associates. We’ve developed training materials that are quick and simple, to give associates the necessary skills to perform all tasks within their work group.
Leadership teams have selected talented associates from across the country to help train fellow associates and ensure change expectations are being met. These associates are Regional Champions, Market Champions and Club Champions.
As a Club Manager, you are required to learn this change and talk to every associate in your club about their role in this new structure. Talking points are available in the talking points section of this toolkit to guide these conversations.
