Week 5 Prior to Launch - Backroom/Steel Organization, Equipment Review, and Stocking with Efficiencies

Organize Backroom

Walk your backroom and ensure that all old equipment, fixtures, and extra steel are properly disposed of and processed accordingly.

Equipment Review

The Club Manager will need to assess all forklifts and pallet jacks are in good working order. If equipment needs to be repaired, please submit a work order.

Steel Organization

Create the steel map plan.

  1. Print out a Club print.
  2. Club manager and assistant managers - Walk the sales floor together to visualize the plan.
  3. Designed a staging location on the top steel reserve (third level of steel) for categories/aisles that do not have top stock steel.
  4. For merchandise Stocked on a shelf, slot back stock merchandise in the reserve top steel Slot back stock merchandise above the product on the sales floor. If this is not possible, use the bay to the left or right.
  5. Before you start implementing top stock plan, hold a partial pallet party to eliminate as many pallets as possible.

The Club will need to adjust their delivery windows to 4am – 10pm and block all out time the club is closed.
