Club Manager to Overnight Associates (Part-time with less than five full years of service)

  • So, let me tell you a little bit about what the upcoming changes mean for you.
  • The decision has been made to transition all overnight associates to day shifts.
  • We would like to offer you a position on the day shift as a part of the Merchandising Team work group.
  • As a part-time associate, your schedule will fluctuate on the needs of the business,
  • Your role would be assigned a new job code and pay band as a part of the shift to work groups, and you will get to keep your Overnight differential pay, if you choose to make the transition.
    • Associates within the pay band – You will not see any changes to base pay.
    • Associates under the pay band – You will have your base pay adjusted to the new minimum of your new position.
    • Associates over the pay band – You will not see any changes to base pay.

Review the chart in the Overnight Associate Transition section to fill in applicable dates for your club in the below points.

  • If you choose to accept the daytime position, your start date will be <insert date>
  • I understand there is a lot to consider; so, I am going to explain next steps and ensure you understand all your options.
  • First, your notification period will begin <insert date>. You will continue to work your regularly scheduled shift through <insert date>. During this time there will be no change to your pay or your job code unless you secure another position within the company.
  • Secondly, if you decide not to accept the position, you will have until <insert notification period end date>, to secure another position within the company. Eligibility requirements (including time in position, evaluation rating, and coachings) have been waived to allow you to compete for positions.
  • If you have not secured another position within the company by <insert notification period end date>, your employment will be terminated.
  • Please know that this decision was not made as a result of your individual work performance.
  • I know this is a difficult message. Are there any questions I can answer for you now?
  • Thank you for the work you do every day for this club.
  • Let’s stay closely connected over the next few weeks and let me know how I can help you with this transition.
