Training

Training will be shared with select associates in person, who will be asked to share learnings with the rest of the club.

Sponsors

Club Managers should identify a sponsor to learn and facilitate training for the new ways of working by COB Wednesday, Oct. 24. The Sponsor must be a salaried assistant manager in their club that they feel will do the best job training the associates. This assistant manager will be the single point of contact for their club for training on the new ways of working. The name of the sponsor will need to be provided to your market manager for future communication regarding this change.

Note: Do not approach a member of management about being the Change Sponsor for your club until after all associate impact conversations have taken place.

In-Person Training Sessions

Training for Club Managers and Sponsors will be conducted in person by a Field People Partner on Thursday, Oct. 25. Your market will have a centralized location where the Club Manager and Sponsor training will occur.

Training Club Associates

Following this training, the Club Managers and Sponsors will return to their club and facilitate training for the remaining salaried managers and all team leads on the new ways of working. How-to guides for these important processes will be available in this toolkit and on the WIRE for easy reference.

CBL for Team Leads

As part of the transition of work, team leads will be given the responsibility of processing I-9 CBLs. These associates must pass an 1-9 CBL before they can be granted access to the system.

  • All team leads will be assigned a CBL in GLMS on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for completion by end of their shift on Friday, Nov. 2.
  • The Club Manager, sponsor, or the team lead’s direct supervisor will have access to verify the CBL completion in GLMS.
  • Once the team lead passes the CBL and it has been verified in GLMS, the Club Manager will need to email Employ0@walmart.com to request I-9 system access for the associate.

The team lead can then begin processing I-9s for the associates in their club once the system access is granted.
