People Tasks by Owner

 
  Owner: Club Manager  
 
  • Participate in every orientation to provide introduction to club and culture
  • CBL tracking for salaried management team
 
  Owner: Grocery/ Consumables/ Compliance Manager  
 
  • Regularly check the AMP for compliance-related updates and communication
  • Maintain all compliance posters, including ordering, printing, hanging and posting updates
  • Assist the Dept. of Labor with unemployment claims, including preparing necessary documentation as requested
  • Responsible for oversight for all accident packets being completed and sent to CMI, and completion of OSHA 300 log
 
  Owner: Member Experience Manager  
 
  • Review Personnel files as needed to ensure they are properly maintained
  • Maintain the drug testing log
  • Create associate badges, and update when an associate turns 18
  • Assist with associate scheduling as needed
 
  Owner: Salaried Manager of Associate  
 
  • Ensure all required training is completed. Review CBL reports and follow-up with fellow managers/leads as needed (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Review attendance exceptions for direct reports
  • Ensure all meal exception investigations are conducted and noted in the system, and the forms are filed by the associates’ immediate supervisor (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Review and act on FT/PT exceptions report
  • Make updates to associate’s availability for scheduling
  • Process previous pay week adjustments for the associates
  • Participate in orientation
  • Minor exception investigations (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Scheduling interviews, reviewing applicants, hiring associates and managing job offer contingencies
  • Workday transactions, as needed
  • Ensure that all associate accommodations and LOAs are processed, and associates are informed of the resources when needed
  • Address Open Door issues in a timely manner
  • Process associate terminations efficiently, including actions in GAIN, check processing and delivery
 
  Owner: Team Lead  
 
  • Track CBL training for direct reports (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Workday transactions for hiring (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Assist associates with the LOA process as needed (to be verified by the Member Experience Manager)
  • Prepare for orientation (locker assignments, badge creation, assign operator IDs)
  • Participate and completely facilitate Associate Orientation, including Welcome to Walmart, new hire policy handouts and acknowledgements
  • For the Team Lead conducting Associate Orientation: Ensure all Form 1-9s, recertifications, E-Verify (where applicable) and verifications are all completed according to the appropriate timelines/ deadlines
 

 

Expectations for Market Managers

  • Review the expectations with the market team and Club Managers.
  • Prepare the Club Managers for impacted associate conversations and validate completion.
  • Touch base with the PTCs in your market to follow-up on their career plans.
  • Share best practices and assist with collaboration among clubs.
  • During club visits ask questions to ensure that Managers and Leads are performing new responsibilities; address any gaps; ensure compliance related tasks are consistently managed.
  • Reinforce the understanding that Club Managers should reference the Severance policy to help associates estimate severance. Formal estimates will not be provided.    

 

Expectations for Club Managers

  • Ensure members of Club Management are supportive of all associates during this transition. It is important for leaders to provide encouragement and support as associates adopt new ways of working, and as the PTCs determine their next step.
  • Continually touch base with the PTCs in your club to follow up with their transition plans.    
  • Ensure all managers are delivering a consistent message to the associates in your club.
  • Handle all impacted associate conversations with care.
  • Directly manage associate transitions.
  • Ensure that Managers and Leads are performing new responsibilities; address any gaps; ensure compliance related tasks are consistently managed.

 

Personnel Office in Clubs

The Personnel (PTC) office in clubs should remain intact after the transition period as the location for storing associate personnel files, equipment that is assigned to associates, etc.
